Gus studied at The Royal College of Music as a scholar on the Composition for Screen masters programme, and graduated with the Joseph Horovitz Composition Prize. He is also a BAFTA scholar, through which he has been mentored by Rupert Gregson-Williams and Maggie Rodford. In September this year, Gus went to the Zurich Film Festival as one of five finalists in the International Composition Competition.

Gus is a classically trained musician, whose works range from detailed orchestral compositions to experimental electroacoustic soundscapes. His music has been heard on prime-time BBC, Channel 4 and ITV. Gus’s most recent film credit is an animation short by Valeria Weerasinghe, which has been shortlisted at several international film festivals.

Alongside television and film work, Gus is also a songwriter, arranger and producer for groups and solo artists, including Naomi  Banks, a BBC Introducing artist. Work for live performances include arrangements for internationally touring shows, including Gareth Malone, The Swingle Singers and The Choir of Man.
